Blueprint Reading: Tabulated Print
Tabulated prints, sometimes called “composite prints” or “common prints,” are used to document design requirements for a family of parts on a single print.
Many commercial parts are available with the same shapes, in a range of sizes.
When referencing a member of a part family documented on a tabulated print (in bills of material or assembly prints), it is necessary to specify which part is needed.
The tabulated print provides an easy-to-use reference form that is convenient and saves space compared with maintaining numerous monodetail prints.
